After today's announcement that E3 2020 will be cancelled due to the outbreak of COVID-19, both Ubisoft and Microsoft Xbox have both vowed to hold an all digital version of an E3 presentation during the week of the cancelled E3 conference.

As we reported earlier today The ESA announced that this years E3 conference in Los Angeles will in fact be cancelled due to the Coronavirus outbreak currently ongoing around the world.
Since this announcement a few developers have since responded by confirming that they will do what they can to hold an equivalent "digital event" during that very same week, so far the most notable are both Microsoft Xbox and Ubisoft. Here are the official responses we have received so far:
Microsoft
“E3 has always been an important moment for the Xbox Team. Given this decision, this year we are celebrating the next generation of gaming with the Xbox community and everyone who loves to play with the Xbox digital event. Details to save time and more in the coming weeks. ”
Nintendo
"Nintendo supports ESA's decision to cancel this year's E3 to help protect the health and safety of everyone in our industry – our fans, our employees, our viewers and our longtime E3 partners. We would like to voice our concerns and support for all those involved in the CCID outbreak -19 during this challenging time. ”
“We will continue to evolve and redirect our efforts to other ways to engage our current fans with our products and services. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, major industry events may not be foreseen for the foreseeable future. But we look for different ways to interact with our fans and we will have more to share as the year goes on. ”
Ubisoft
"The health and well-being of our teams, players and partners is of paramount importance to us, but while disappointed, we fully support ESA's decision to cancel E3 2020. E3 exists and will continue to be a time when we come together as a community and share our passion for sport. other digital experience options that will allow us to share all the exciting news we have planned. ”
Electronic Arts
“We have continued to monitor worldwide coronavirus development very closely. This situation is clearly evolving by the day, and we have been looking at how our plans for EA PLAY 2020 will change. "
Devolver Digital
"E3 week has always been a big part of what we do and we cry aloud about the cancellation of the event itself. Lop to juggle but we are currently planning to have a Devolver Direct live streaming / media conference and more."

In particular Ubisoft left us with more questions than answers after their E3 2019 event so its the event I was looking forward to the most outside of the "next gen" announcements from both Xbox and whatever Sony do.
Hopefully the rest of the developers get on board with this digital event and us at home viewers are relatively unaffected by the cancellation of E3 2020.
What are you hoping will be announced during this years week of E3 equivalent "digital events" ? We will report more as and when more statements are made in relation to this.
