The Last Of Us 2 is only a few days away and if you're looking to pick it up we've done the leg work so you get the best price.
The cheapest retail store is once again Harvey Norman, and (once again) EB Games coming in at the most expensive. (It is important to remember that although EB Games will usually price match they may not this time around due to the EB version being a "standard plus edition").
The cheapest online store however is Amazon, although we would suggest using Mightyape as we do get a kickback for any sales generated through our custom links and they do price match if you want to try and save your extra $1.
Digital is as usual the most expensive of the lot and other than convenience I wouldn't suggest this option.
Retail Stores:
JB HiFI – $69
Big W – $69
EB Games – $99.95 "Standard plus edition"
Online Stores:
The Gamesmen – $79
Digital Store:
PSN – $99.95 / Digital Deluxe Edition – $114.95
About The Last Of Us Part 2:
The Last of Us Part II is an upcoming action-adventure game developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 4. Set five years after the events of The Last of Us (2013), players enter the role of 19-year-old Ellie, who comes into conflict with a mysterious cult in a post-apocalyptic United States. The game contains survival horror elements and is played from the third-person perspective. Players can use firearms, improvised weapons, and stealth to defend against hostile humans and cannibalistic creatures infected by a mutated strain of the Cordyceps fungus.
The six-year development of Part II began in 2014, soon after the release of The Last of Us Remastered. Neil Druckmann returns as creative director whilst Gustavo Santaolalla returns to compose and perform the score. It was announced in December 2016 and delayed twice, first for further development and then due to logistical problems arising from the COVID-19 pandemic. The game is scheduled for release on June 19, 2020.
