For the last 2 years the rumour mill has been buzzing after developer GSC’s announcement that they had begun production of S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 – the long anticipated sequel to 2007’s S.T.A.L.K.E.R series.
The series centres on a conflict torn Chernobyl after the formation of ‘The Zone’ – an anomalous region that has appeared surrounding the Chernobyl Nuclear Powerplant in Ukraine - and the rush by multiple local & global factions to collect artefacts created by the anomalies of the zone.
Fans of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R series have been cheering online after finally getting a small glimpse of the development progress with the first screenshot released this week:
