Intro Razer Viper V2 Pro at a first glance is an elegant, sleek gaming mouse that weighs practically nothing (feels like nothing at all), and plays fluidly as a gaming mouse should. In saying that, this is my first time reviewing or using anything of this calibre. From what I know already, Razer have always had high quality products when it comes to the realm of gaming and streaming. As far as my PC Gaming history goes, I play mostly on console and when I do play on PC, half the time I use a controller. So, what better way to get me gaming more with a mouse like this? Let's jump in..
Putting it to the test
Starting off, setting the mouse up was simple and easy to use. To put this mouse to the test as much as possible for this first impressions review, I played sections from a few games I had installed already ranging from Indie titles to bigger Triple AAA games. This included PC Building Simulator, Alien Isolation, Rage 2, Amnesia: Rebirth and Dépanneur Nocturne. So far with the time I have spent with this mouse it's been smooth and responsive with no issues.
I do have to mention the mouse weight, as this stood out the most to me - and kind of freaked me out how light it actually is. I have never personally played with a mouse as light as this, so initially I was thrown a bit off guard when I picked it up for the first time. Another great thing is that it thankfully can track smoothly on my table surface. With my current set up (as pictured below) I have a bit of room to move the mouse as well as gliding along the surface with some texture with no issues.

100% PTFE
22% lighter than Razer Viper Ultimate
A whopping 90million click cycle
The Razer Viper V2 Pro is 22% lighter than the Razer Viper Ultimate, weighing in at just 58-59g! With it's high performance and reliability, this mouse is also set to have a much longer click lifecycle - Razer has tested and confirmed this with a whopping 90million click cycle. With the optical mouse and a focus pro 30k optical sensor, the Viper V2 Pro has more accurate tracking, intelligent AI function with smart tracking, enhanced asymmetrical cut off and motion sync.
As mentioned previously with my table surface, the Viper V2 Pro includes a more wider range of surface compatibility; including tracking on most surfaces including glass.
The improved power efficiency aspect has upgraded to an even smaller battery, with the battery life now clocking in at 80 hours. It's rechargeable with usb c, functional even without software as it also includes an on mouse dpi control and on-board memory.
The Viper V2 Pro is set at AU $259.95 with two colours to pick from, black or white. If you're looking to enhance your gaming experience, this may be the mouse for you to click into.
Overall
The Viper V2 Pro so far is an impressive calibre of technology that I will have to use a bit more to test everything out. From the games I have played so far, to getting used to the light weight of it, the Viper V2 Pro is made for fast paced gaming and enhancing your gaming experience to a whole new level.
