2025 is going to be a massive year for Nintendo. The gaming community is anxious to know what the Nintendo Switch 2 will have in terms of features, power, and launch titles.
Nintendo Direct March 2025
However, before the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, Nintendo hosted a Nintendo Direct this morning, serving as one final hurrah for the original Switch. We got news about upcoming titles and brand-new game reveals. The event ran for a little over 30 minutes, and Nintendo showed 29 different games and applications.
Here is everything announced at Nintendo's March 27th 2025 Direct:

Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army is coming to Nintendo Switch in June.
Shadow Labyrinth — July 18th 2025
Take Hollow Knight and combine it with Pac-Man, and you have Shadow Labyrinth. This game really stood out to me for its gloomy aesthetic and its beautiful sprite animations during gameplay. I cannot wait to try out Shadow Labyrinth when it comes to Nintendo Switch later this year.
Patapon 1 & 2 Replay — July 11th 2025
Patapon started on the PSP in 2007, and it got a number of sequels during its heyday. The series has always been PlayStation exclusive, so it was a very pleasant surprise to see the first two games at the Nintendo Direct. Check out Patapon 1 & 2 Replay when it comes to Nintendo Switch this July.

Rhythm Heaven Groove — 2026
RHYTHM HEAVEN IS BACK! I did not expect this franchise to come back, but I am so happy it did. I have very fond memories of playing Rhythm Heaven on DS with my brother when we were younger. Groove is the series' return after its 10-year hiatus. Sadly, we have to wait until 2026 to see more of Rhythm Heaven Groove.
Virtual Game Card — Late April 2025 via an Update
Virtual Game Card is a very good idea if you have more than one Nintendo Switch in your family. The idea is that when you buy a digital game on the Nintendo eShop, this game will become a Virtual Game Card. A Virtual Game Card is a glorified friend pass that allows other Nintendo Switch users to have access to a game. If you are playing a digital game on one Nintendo Switch and then play the same game on the other, you can swap the Virtual Game Card to the second Switch, and you can carry on where you left off. In addition, owners of a Virtual Game Card can give other Nintendo Switch users access to their library, regardless of whether that user owns the game or not. You can only loan one game to a certain user at a time, and the loan period lasts 14 days. Then, the Virtual Gam Card expires and goes back to the owner.
If you have more than one Nintendo Switch in your household, I really like this idea. But if you have only one Switch, the concept is redundant. The Virtual Game Card will be available to Nintendo Switch via a software update next month.
High on Life — May 6th 2025
The comedic first-person shooter that started as a Game Pass launch title, then a PS Plus Essential offered a couple of months ago, is now getting an official port to Nintendo Switch. High on Life comes to the Nintendo Switch in May.

The Wandering Village first came out on Xbox and PC in 2022. The game is a city-building strategy where you rebuild a civilisation on the back of an enormous creature. The Wandering Village is coming to Nintendo Switch this July.
King of Meat — 2025
King of Meat is a hack-and-slash multiplayer game where up to four people can team up to battle through dungeons. King of Meat takes place in the world of Loregok and is about a fictional game show called 'King of Meat.' You can obtain sponsorships to upgrade your gear in this online dungeon crawler, which is coming to Nintendo Switch later this year.

Everybody's Golf Hot Shots — 2025
A new entry in the beloved PS1 series Everybody's Golf is coming to Nintendo Switch. The first game was released in 1997, and a sequel followed in 1999. Since then, the series has had numerous titles across every PlayStation console. Now, the next game is bringing golf swinging to Nintendo gamers. Everybody's Golf Hot Shots is coming to Nintendo Switch later this year.
MARVEL Cosmic Invasion — 2025
A brand-new 2D Marvel beat-em-up game is coming. This game emulates the visual styles of classic arcade Marvel fighting games, and it looks so charming and fun. You can play as 15 different Marvel superheroes, including Spider-Man, Captain America and Wolverine, when MARVEL Cosmic Invasion comes to Nintendo Switch later this year.
Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream — 2026
The final game announcement is courtesy of Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream. This Mii social simulation game is the third entry in the series and the first new entry in over a decade. The trailer for this game captures the zany fun that the Mii characters are known for, and it gives you many questions about what this game will entail. Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream is coming to Nintendo Switch next year.
Nintendo Today! — Available Now
Nintendo Today was the last announcement from this Nintendo Direct. It is not a game announcement but rather an announcement for a brand-new Nintendo app. Nintendo Today is an app that gives you daily updates on your favourite Nintendo games, as well as the latest news about Nintendo Directs and upcoming projects. The application only came out today, so it is hard to say whether this app is a decent accompaniment to stay in the loop about all things Nintendo, but we will learn more in the future.
