Gtek is not necessarily a name you'd think of when it comes to quality gaming products, however this budget friendly brand has recently released a new line of dedicated gaming products and while some of them wont excite many people, there are some that I highly recommend you don't sleep on. Keep reading for a short snapshot of my thoughts of each.

For its price, the Gtek Storm 75key Keyboard is surprisingly competent. Out of the box, it offers decent performance with responsive keys and a layout that works well for gaming and general typing. The pre-installed switches feel smooth, and while they don't quite match the premium feel of high end mechanical keyboards, they’re more than serviceable for casual and even some competitive gaming.
Where this keyboard stumbles is its build quality. The plastic chassis feels lightweight, almost flimsy, and lacks the premium heft found in higher end models. That being said, considering the price point, it actually performs better than expected. The RGB lighting is decent, though nothing spectacular, and while it's not the most luxurious typing experience, it delivers solid value for the cost. A 7/10 seems fair, it’s a good choice for budget conscious gamers but falls short in premium feel.

The Gtek Wireless Gaming Controller Pro for Mobile is easily one of the best surprises from this lineup. Initial setup was a bit more complicated than something like the Backbone One, which pretty much works seamlessly out of the box, while this took a while to actually get working with the games I had installed on my phone. But once properly configured, this controller functions flawlessly.
One of its standout features is the built in battery, a huge plus over other mobile controllers that rely solely on your phone’s power. Another game changer is its ability to accommodate devices up to 10 inches in size, meaning it works not just with phones but also with larger tablets. That level of flexibility is a major win, making it one of the most versatile mobile gaming controllers available.
The ergonomics are solid, the button layout is intuitive, and the performance is perceivably lag-free and responsive. If Gtek could refine the initial pairing process, this would be nearly perfect. As it stands, it’s a fantastic choice for mobile gamers, earning a strong 8.5/10.

This is where things get tricky. The Gtek ODIN 2.1CH RGB Gaming Soundbar + Subwoofer is good value for money on paper, but its performance left me a little unsure. The sound quality is decent, but given its size, I expected better audio performance, it doesn’t quite pack the punch that a dedicated 2.1 system could.
The build quality is acceptable, though nothing premium, but the RGB lighting feels particularly cheap. It’s hard to pinpoint exactly why, but something about the way the lights are implemented just feels low end, as if they were an afterthought rather than a polished feature.
That said, if you’re looking for an affordable gaming sound system with a dedicated subwoofer, this still offers a reasonable experience for the price. However, if you're after a better alternative in the same price range, the JBL Quantum Duo speakers are worth considering. They don’t require an external subwoofer yet manage to produce slightly better overall audio quality. Because of these trade offs, the ODIN 2.1 earns a 6/10.
Gtek’s New Cable Range – A Mostly Big Win
Gtek has recently introduced a new lineup of gaming cables, and overall, they’re a hit with one notable exception.
USB Cables: These are well made and deliver solid performance. They feel durable, and in my testing, they handled both data transfer and charging efficiently.
8K HDMI 2.1 Cable: This one stands out, it’s built exceptionally well, with a great length that provides extra flexibility for different setups. Performance wise, it works exactly as expected, making it a reliable choice for gamers needing a sturdy HDMI connection.
USB-C Light-Up Cable: Unfortunately, this one is a miss. It doesn’t look great when not illuminated, the light-up feature feels unnecessary, and the materials feel cheap, to the point where I question its long term durability.
So, while the majority of the new cable range is excellent, the light-up USB-C cable falls short. If Gtek focused on improving material quality and reconsidering the LED implementation, it could be a winner.
I don't think any of these devices or peripherals are going to set the gaming world ablaze, or indeed raise Gtek's stock in the gaming market. I do believe however, that just about everyone of them is a very solid option for the more budget conscious gamers out there and should be a consideration especially for those buying first time accessories for their kids for instance.
