Firstly, check out the trailer below if you haven't already;
The DualSense Edge is the first customisable controller developed by PlayStation, and from the looks of it, it looks pretty good! I know I'd be keen to get my hands on one. The DualSense Edge invites you, the players (old and new alike!) to craft your personalised controller that's tailored to your unique playstyle.
The DualSense Edge will launch globally on Thursday, January 26th. Pre-orders for the controller and replaceable stick modules will be starting as early as Tuesday, 25 October at select retailers - so be sure to check in with your local retailer if they'll have them. At this current time, we're not sure about what the pricing is.
What's in the box, you ask? Well you'll get;
DualSense Edge wireless controller
USB braided cable
2 Standard caps
2 High dome caps
2 Low dome caps
2 Half dome back buttons
2 Lever back buttons
Connector housing
Carrying case
The controller will also feature hardware and software-based personalisation options. This will include button remapping as well as being able to fine-tune stick sensitivity and triggers. You'll also have the option to swap between multiple control profiles, and a unique on-controller user interface. You can even charge the controller via USB connection while it’s stored in the case to make sure it’s charged for the next time you hop on the PS5.
You can keep up to date with all the information via PlayStation's Blog. That's all the information we have at the moment, but pricing should be hopefully announced soon.
