Board Game and Video Game Sales: A Customer’s Guide

Are you currently looking for a new game to entertain your family? Perhaps you’re looking for a game to play solo, or to show to your friends at your next gathering. Whether it’s board games, video games, consoles, or accessories, we are here to guide you through some of the current sales happening.

BOARD GAMES:

We all know board games, and we all love them. I doubt there is a single person out there who has not stumbled across a Scrabble board in their parent's cupboard, or perhaps the odd chance of Battleship and Yahtzee. If board games are your thing, look no further than the sales for products made by Big Potato Games. You may be familiar with Throw Throw Burrito or Exploding Kittens from the company (and these games are currently going cheap across most Australian entertainment retailers). These are just two of the myriad of games this brilliant company is responsible for. Here are some highlighted games to scratch your board game itch during EOFY sales:

  • Dumb Questions to Ask Your Friends ($39.95): Learn more about your friends by trying to guess what dumb question they are answering. This game is perfect to play with your group of friends and also an entertaining way of bonding with a new group. Dumb Questions to Ask Your Friends is available at JB Hi-Fi, Kmart, and most game-related stores.

  • Block Party ($39.95): Think Pictionary but with blocks. One player is the guesser, the other is the builder. Using the different coloured blocks, construct whatever you read on your ‘build card.’ Block Party is available at JB Hi-Fi, Kmart, Target, and most game-related stores.

  • You Can’t Say Umm ($39.95): Complete bizarre and entertaining tasks, all while avoiding saying ‘umm.’ If you say that, the bell triggers and amps up the pressure in this fast-paced and amusing game for a group. You Can't Say Umm is available at JB Hi-Fi, EB Games, and most game-related stores.

This is just a selection of games available from Big Potato Games, others include Herd Mentality, Get the Ick, Zombie Kittens, and Let’s Hit Each Other with Fake Swords. Don’t miss out on picking up one or more of these beauties while prices are lower.

LEGO:

One of the all-time greats, Lego has been a household name since 1932. The perfect construction toy for creatives or anyone looking to dedicate their time to creating such intricately designed pieces.

Until July 2nd, Toymate (Australia’s largest toy retailer) has sales on a selection of Lego sets. Here are some highlighted Lego selections to take your fancy:
