But Australia looks set to miss out...
Nintendo have announced an animal crossing inspired Nintendo Switch console, Set to release on March 13 2020. However, so far, this new console is only confirmed for the US market.
The special edition console featuring a custom design on the back of the console itself, Pastel blue/green Joy-Cons and a custom dock will retail for $299USD and as stated at this stage will release exclusively in the USA. There will also be a custom Animal Crossing carry case and cleaning cloth.
We will keep you posted with any new information as it comes through! hopefully we get news of an Australian console soon.

Update: Nintendo Australia has confirmed that the Animal Crossing: New Horizons limited edition Switch will also be coming to Australia. It’ll be available down under on the 20th of March (the same day as the game launches) for $469.95.
