AMVR Meta Quest 3 Accessories Review

The Meta Quest 3 is already a fantastic piece of hardware, but the right accessories can elevate its functionality and comfort to new heights. AMVR, a name synonymous with quality VR add-ons, offers a range of products designed to fine tune your VR experience. Let me take you through my hands on impressions of some standout accessories in their lineup.

AMVR Knuckle Strap for Quest 3

If you’ve ever felt the strain of clutching your controllers too tightly during intense sessions, the AMVR knuckle strap is a godsend. These straps provide a secure and comfortable grip, freeing up your hands to relax without worrying about dropping the controllers.

What stands out most for me is how intuitive and ergonomic they feel. The soft materials don’t chafe, even after long play sessions, and the adjustable straps accommodate a range of hand sizes. I particularly love how these straps add to the immersion in games that require rapid hand movements. It’s a bit like putting on gloves designed just for gaming—seamless and snug.

However, adjusting them for the first time is slightly fiddly, but once dialled in, they remain rock-solid. Whether you’re swinging swords or climbing walls, the knuckle straps ensure your controllers feel like an extension of your hands.

AMVR Golf Club Attachment for Meta Quest 3

Let’s address the elephant in the room: VR golfing is so immersive that it might just turn your living room into a hazard zone. I speak from personal experience, having had more than a few run ins with my ceiling fan while using the AMVR Golf Club attachment. It’s a rite of passage, but one I’d recommend avoiding by thoroughly scouting your play area before teeing off.

That said, this attachment is an absolute gem for anyone serious about VR sports. The setup is straightforward, and the club has just the right heft to mimic the feel of a real golf club. It strikes a perfect balance not too light to feel fake, but not so heavy that it becomes unwieldy.

What truly sells it for me is how it transforms the experience in games like Golf+. The attachment aligns beautifully with the in-game physics, making each swing feel like the real deal. The level of immersion it provides is nothing short of spectacular, especially when paired with the Quest 3’s improved tracking. If you’re a fan of VR golfing, this accessory is non-negotiable.

AMVR Quest 3 Facial Interface

Comfort can make or break a VR session, and the AMVR facial interface gets a lot right. From the moment I swapped out the stock interface for this, I noticed a significant difference in comfort.

The material is soft yet durable, striking a nice balance between plushness and practicality. It wicks away sweat effectively, and incorporates cooling gel, which is a blessing for marathon gaming sessions. The ventilation system also does a great job of reducing fogging something that’s been a persistent issue with my stock facial interface. The adjustment knobs on either side allow for complete control over how the headset fits and feels on your face.

Another thing I appreciate is how easy it is to keep clean. A quick wipe down with a damp cloth after each session keeps it fresh. My only nitpick? The padding could be slightly thicker for those of us with more angular faces, but that’s more of a personal preference than a flaw.

This combined wih an upgraded headstrap truly transform your Quest headset in terms of comfort and face fatigue and are my absolute must do upgrades for the Quest 3.

AMVR Anti-Scratch Glasses Spacer Kit

My wife is someone who wears glasses, so the thought of scratching either her glasses lenses or the Quest 3’s pancake lenses is a constant source of anxiety. Enter the AMVR anti-scratch glasses spacer kit.

This small but mighty accessory is a game changer for those users who rely heavily on their glasses to be able to enjoy things like VR. Out of the box, wearing them poses significant risk to the hardware and not wearing them would lead to a breaking of immersion and overall experience. The spacers snap into place easily, providing enough clearance to protect both sets of lenses. The soft material ensures no hard plastic comes into contact with your glasses, and the fit doesn’t compromise the Quest 3’s field of view or tracking.

While it’s not the most glamorous accessory, its practicality cannot be overstated. Knowing I can enjoy VR without worrying about expensive scratches gives peace of mind, allowing me to focus entirely on the experience.

My thoughts on the products I've tested so far is that AMVR has nailed the art of enhancing the VR experience without overcomplicating things. Each accessory in their Quest 3 range feels purposeful, well crafted, and user focused. The knuckle straps add comfort and security; the golf club attachment brings unparalleled immersion to sports games (just watch out for your surroundings) the facial interface improves comfort and hygiene; and the glasses spacer kit provides vital protection for glasses wearing users.

For me, these accessories make the Meta Quest 3 feel less like a gadget and more like a bespoke tool for exploring immersive worlds. If you’re looking to level up or fine tune your VR setup, AMVR’s offerings are well worth the investment especially when the investment pails in comparison to some others on the market despite being of equal quality.
